  • The Czyzycki Family

Lisa, Brendan, Charlie, Jack and Margaret. We are in constant prayer for you and Tommy’s soul. Alice, Evan, Max and I cherished our years with you and IC Lax. It is hard to come to grips. He sacrificed so much of his and your family time to launch and sustain the IC lax program, a part of which our family was so happy to support. But Tommy took the lead and drove it. And boy did we have a time. It takes a special person to keep persevering in this endeavor especially when we were mostly a rag tag bunch. But Tommy kept forging ahead to make sure every kid left with an appreciation for teamwork and the sport. Our family will cherish his memory and his soul’s continuance and will pray so hard for your healing. I pray for the Holy Spirit to bring its healing flame upon you. The Czyzycki Family.

Lisa, We were so sad to hear of Tommy’s passing. Although our interactions with him at OTF St Charles were short, they spoke volumes to us about the kind and gentle man he was. He knew little of us, but he showed care and compassion and always asked about Lin. We keep you and your family in our thoughts and prayers. We pray that time and wonderful memories will give you comfort and peace.

To Lisa, and family, I grew up through school, church and the camping group with Toms sisters, but my sister was the same grade in school. As some of the other campers group members have said he came from an amazing family, and grew up to be a wonderful man as well as I’m sure, incredible husband and father. I watched the video and it shows the adventures, experiences and memories you will all cherish forever. My thoughts & prayers will be with you all in the coming days and weeks ahead. He will always be with all of you, watching over and loving you all. He knows how much you all love him.

Heartbreaking. I knew Tommy from a young age…he played soccer with my brother Chris (who also passed away) and was coached by my Dad, Nobby. We both lived on Christian Avenue. But most of all I remember when we played Notre Dame (I played at Villanova), when the game was over, Tommy sought me out as a “Ward Melville Lacrosse Brother” and we had a great chat after the game. Such a kind soul. I am so sad for he and his family. I’ve gone through this myself…and I know the pain. God bless Tommy…such a great person.

Rest in peace, Tommy. It’s been 30 years since I last saw you in South Bend, but all of my memories on and off the field with you are still bright. My deepest condolences to the O’Brien family.
