James M. Wallace, 88, of Santa Clara, Utah, passed away peacefully, leaving behind a legacy of love and friendship. He was the cherished husband of Shirley and a longtime resident of the Chicago area.
A proud father of 11, James was also a devoted grandfather to 18 grandchildren and a great-grandfather to 15.
He spent many years in Downers Grove, where he raised his beloved children: Mary Patricia Fairchild (late Keith), Maureen, Cathy Rooney (late Peter), Jimmy (Teresa), Peggy (John) Starshak, Eileen (Daniel) Kuzniar, Martin (Jennifer), Colleen (Matt Broderick), Nancy (John) Bristow, Edward (Allison), and Michael.
James was preceded in death by his first wife, Caroline Wallace (née Fahey), and Kay Brennan-Wallace.
He was a dear brother to Mary Ann Burns and the late Michael Wallace, Daniel Wallace, Margaret Harnett, and Ellen Ward.
He was a fond uncle to many nieces and nephews and a valued friend to many in both the Chicago and St. George, Utah areas, particularly to Father Edward Salmon.
As we say goodbye to Jim, we take comfort in knowing that his spirit and love will continue to thrive in the countless friendships he cultivated and the love he shared throughout his life. Rest in peace, you will be profoundly missed and forever remembered.
