Carol E. Cahill, age 76, passed suddenly, with her family at her side, from complication of Diabetes, longtime resident of Elmhurst, graduate of Clarke University and research fellow at Iowa State University; beloved wife of William T. “Bill” for over 53 years; loving mother of Kevin, Mark (Mary) and Michael (Melissa) Cahill; cherished grandmother of Brenna, Ryan, James, Daniel, Cadence, Amelia and Maya; dear sister of the late Mary Cooke and sister-in-law of Colleen (John) Matthys, Rosemary (John) Butterfield, Karen Walsh, Kevin (Sharon) Cahill, Maureen Cahill, Francis (Diane) Cahill and Denise Cahill; fond aunt of many nieces and nephews. Visitation Sunday, February 16, 2025, 3:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Gibbons Funeral Home, 134 South York Road, (½ mile North of Saint Charles Road), Elmhurst.
