Geraldine M. “Gerry” Ward, age 81, nee Griffin; longtime resident of Elmhurst; beloved wife of the late William Louis Ward;  loving mother of Maggie (the late Paul) Kossak, Mike, Katie (Matt) McDonough and Annie (Bobby) Rowland; proud grandmother of Gracie, Jack, Frankie, Doug, Lola, Kelsey, Joe, Lily, Sean, Bobby and Michael; dear sister of  Ginny (Pete) Waddick,  John Griffin and the late Richard (Doris) Griffin DDS, and sister-in-law of Betty (Don) Wampach; best friend of Katy McDonough; fond aunt of many nieces and nephews.  Visitation Wednesday, 3:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and Thursday, 8:00 a.m. until time of prayers 9:00 a.m. at Gibbons Funeral Home, 134 South York Road, (½ mile North of Saint Charles Road), Elmhurst.  Mass of Christian Burial 10:00 a.m. at Visitation Catholic Church.  Interment Queen of Heaven Catholic Cemetery, Hillside.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Misericordia Heart of Mercy, Attn Acct 6000A,  6300 North Ridge, Chicago, IL 60660.  For funeral information please call 630-832-0018 or www.gibbonsfuneralhome.com
