Diane J. DuBois, nee Shea, age 62, devoted Catholic, fun-loving friend to many, avid walker and bike rider, pickleball player, golfer, card player, teacher at Madison School in Lombard; beloved wife of Steve; loving mother of Matt (fiancé Shelby Hamilton), Tom (Courtney Trunk) and Jason; dear sister of Nancy (Antonio) Aguilar, Sue (Mark) Wagner, Father Edward, Jr, Eileen (Todd) Plantenga, Dan (Cindy), Julie (Rick) Cannon and Maureen (Dave) Stephenson and sister-in-law of Michele (John) Priscal and Mike (Michelle) DuBois; cherished daughter of the late Eileen, nee Garibaldi and the late Edward F. Shea and daughter-in-law of Corrine and the late Raymond DuBois Jr; fond aunt of many nieces and nephews.

Diane enjoyed life and the social interaction with everybody. She was always looking to organize dinners and fun events. She loved making appetizers and desserts and was willing to step in and help in any way. She gave a lot to everybody and expected nothing in return.

Visitation Thursday, August 15, 2024, 3:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Gibbons Funeral Home, 134 South York Road (½ mile North of Saint Charles Road), Elmhurst.  Friends and family will meet Friday, August 16, 2024 for a Mass of Christian Burial beginning at  10:00 a.m. at Visitation Catholic Church 779 S York (at Madison), Elmhurst.  Interment Private.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to National Alliance on Mental Illness, PO Box 49104 Baltimore, MD 21297. http://www.nami.org For funeral information please call 630-832-0018 or www.gibbonsfuneralhome.com
