 Bennie Frank DeFilippis, age 92, passed away in the arms of his wife Marilyn, surrounded by his family, and entered the gates of heaven to be reunited with his parents, siblings and other loved ones on June 14, 2024, Bennie was an Army Veteran, member Knights of Columbus, owner/broker at the DeFilippis Insurance Agency, Bellwood; beloved husband of  Marilyn, nee Markett; loving father of Benjamin (Rita) and Stephen (Doreen) DeFilippis and Cynthia Armato; cherished grandfather of Scott (Amanda), Colt, Ana, Troy, Dana (James Grahovac) Magnuson, Benjamin (Margaret) Magnuson, Brittany and Nikko Armato and great-grandfather of Olyvia, Tyler, Bennie, Lilly and Vail; dear brother of the late Stan (the late Jerry) and Tony (the late Jackie) DeFilippis, Rosetta (Mort) Cole and Vic (Madeline) Albergo; fond uncle and great-uncle of many. Visitation Thursday, June 27, 2024, 3:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and Friday, June 28, 2024, 8:00 a.m. until time of prayers 9:15 a.m. at Gibbons Funeral Home, 134 South York Road, (½ mile North of Saint Charles Road), Elmhurst.
