Dorothy L. Falduto

Dorothy L. Falduto, nee Brummel, age 80, native of Naperville, longtime resident of Elmhurst and parishioner at Immaculate Conception Church.  Beloved wife of John A. for over 58 years; loving mother of John J (Jennifer), Patti (Mike) Blain, Tom (Debbie), Julie (Jay) Hurt, Jeanne (Mike) Mulay, Karen (Joe) Filippello and the late Charlene.  Cherished grandmother of Kaitlyn (fiancé Keaton Ringhand), Andrew, Johnny and Ava Falduto, Cody and Emma Falduto, Madeline, Olivia and Sophie Hurt, Audrey, Ryan and Elise Mulay and Bella and Josh Kopf and Lulu Filippello.  Dear sister of Leon (Virginia) Brummel and the late Betty Collins, Kathryn Wallace, Patricia Miller, Marjorie Bucholz, Marion Feltes, Alice Weiland, Berniece Konen and John Brummel.  Devoted daughter of the late Lena M., nee Frieders and the late John J. Brummel.  Fond aunt and great-aunt of many nieces and nephews.  Dorothy will be remembered for her kindness and unwavering love for her family. Her greatest joys in life were hosting family holiday celebrations, playing tennis at Courts Plus, and planting flowers in her gorgeous garden.  She loved to create beautiful cross stitch pieces for their family home and gifts for others.  John and Dorothy spent decades supporting their children and grandchildren as they played the sports they loved.  She will be deeply missed by all who knew her. Dorothy’s beauty, strength, and love for her family will forever remain in our hearts.  Visitation is Tuesday, April 9, 2024, 3:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Gibbons Funeral Home, 134 South York Road, (½ mile North of Saint Charles Road), Elmhurst.  Friends and family will meet Wednesday, April 10, 2024, for a Mass of Christian Burial beginning at 9:30 a.m. at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, 134 Arthur Street, Elmhurst.  Interment at Marywood Cemetery, Aurora.  Live Stream of funeral Mass available through funeral home website.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to IC Catholic Prep High School, 217 Cottage Hill Avenue, Elmhurst, IL 60126.  For funeral information, please call 630-832-0018 or www.gibbonsfuneralhome.com
