Nickolas S. Helton

Nickolas S. Helton, age 49, suddenly, of Elmhurst, IL. Nick lived life on his terms and maximized fun with his family and friends. He had a larger than life personality as well being larger than life with his 6’6 frame. When Nick walked into a room, you could literally feel his presence. He also embraced action and adventure and loved spending time golfing, off-roading, on a boat or at Riley’s, his favorite local spot in Elmhurst. The common denominator was always being with friends he loved like family. Nick will be sorely missed by his wife of 24 years, his lifelong friends that were his brothers and dear friends at the River Forest Country Club. Nick was a Senior Vice President, Data & Analytics Leader for Asset Servicing, Northern Trust Bank, Chicago; beloved husband of Karen L., nee Wilhelm; dear brother of Jill Helton and brother-in-law of the late Roger Wilhelm II; cherished son of the late Bob and the late Irene Helton and son-in-law of Sharon and the late Roger Wilhelm. Visitation Wednesday, December 27, 2023, 3:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. with a funeral service to be held at 7:30 p.m. at Gibbons Funeral Home, 134 South York Road, (½ mile North of Saint Charles Road), Elmhurst. Interment Private.
