O’Connor, age 89, of Elmhurst, formerly of Chicago and Galena; retired employee of People’s Gas with 38 years of service; Volunteer Emergency Medical Technician service the Galena Volunteer Fire Department for over 20 years; beloved husband of the late Patricia K., nee Daly; loving father of Sean (Mindy) O’Connor, Sheila (Charlie) O’Halloran and Sharon (Joe) Wangler; proud grandfather of Meghan and Jack O’Connor, Morgan (Kyle) Yearick, Evan Welsh, Caitlin (Jason) Garstka, Kevin O’Halloran, Daly Wangler, Aubrey (Jason) Thielenhouse and Anna Wangler; cherished great-grandfather of Molly, Connor, Chase, Cameron, Zack and Jacob; dear brother of the late Jeremiah, Frances and Robert (Barbara) O’Connor; dear son of the late Eileen, nee Kennedy and the late Jeremiah O’Connor of County Kerry Ireland; fond uncle and great-uncle of many; cherished friend of many.
