Michael O’Donovan

Michael O’Donovan, Native of Clonakilty, Co. Cork, Ireland, longtime resident of Elmhurst, cherished son of the late Margaret, nee Dullea and the late Bartholomew O’Donovan; loving oldest sibling of the late  Eileen, Kitty, Mary, twins Dan and Charlie, and infants John and Margaret; dear uncle of Marie and Margaret, Kay, Mary, June and Paul and great-uncle of many.  Mick traveled to America as a young lad in search of work.  He found a living tending bar but his life’s work became driving a truck.  His loved his work, his truck and his travels all across America doing a job he enjoyed.  Visits back home to Ireland and England were always joyous and anticipated adventures. He would often entertain his family with his stories – his family adored him and he will be deeply missed. Visitation Wednesday, 8:00 a.m. until time of funeral 9:00 a.m. at Gibbons Funeral Home, 134 South York Road, (1/2 mile North of Saint Charles Road), Elmhurst.
