Marcia E. Nelson

Marcia E. Nelson, nee Hilan, age 65, passed away peacefully and we know she is now in heaven with her mom and beloved husband the late David L. Nelson; Marcia was the loving mother of Grace (Nick) Coyne and Kate (Caleb) Carnes; cherished grandmother of Laine and Cara; dearest daughter of Harold D. Hilan and the late Barbara L. Hilan. Born in Chicago and then living in Oak Park and Elmhurst, Marcia was an avid ice skater and hockey fan as a young girl. After receiving Bachelors of Science from the University of Illinois she married the love of her life, David and they were happily married until his passing in 2015. Marcia continued to be a valued employee at Help at Home in Chicago as an accountant for more than 20 years. After retirement, Marcia moved to southern Illinois to be closer to her children and grandchildren. Visitation Thursday, 3:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and Friday, 8:00 a.m. until time of funeral 9:00 a.m. at Gibbons Funeral Home, (½ mile North of Saint Charles Road), Elmhurst.
