Linda A. Squier, nee Lambert, age 80, of Oak Brook, formerly of Elmhurst; Beloved mother, sister and friend, passed away peacefully of lifelong Type 1 diabetes complications, Linda’s devout faith guided her life and her kindness and compassion for all who met her was admired by the many who knew her. She loved her children and her grandchildren dearly and delighted in writing down their cute antics. She was an extremely thoughtful letter writer, and a letter from Linda is truly a treasure. Linda was a longtime member of the Elmhurst Book Club “the Bookies” and maintained these friendships and so many others for more than 50 years; Linda was the beloved wife of Edward A. for 59 years; loving mother of E. Andrew (Joy), Daniel and the late Maribeth Squier; proud grandmother of Luke and Rebecca Squier; dear sister of Celeste Lambert, Kathleen (Dale) Hilsmier, Joe Lambert and the late Mary Adele “Putsen” (Bob) Tomy; dear aunt of Peter (Kim) Squier, Sue (Tom) Lubben, Matthew (Jandy) Tomy, Joanna (Dave) Matthies, Ron (Krisi) Cavacini, Joe (Theresa) Cavacini, Nick (Amanda) Cavacini, Shealah Craighead and Talley Lambert. Visitation Friday, 3:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Gibbons Funeral Home, 134 South York Road, (½ mile North of Saint Charles Road), Elmhurst.
