Mary Catherine “Kathy” O’Shea, nee Grady; beloved wife of Kevin; loving mother of Kevin Patrick (Clare) O’Shea, Michael William (Lauren) O’Shea, Meghan Kathleen (David) Suarez, Erin Colleen (Zach) Kaplan and Mollie Kelly O’Shea; cherished grandmother of Eleanor, Benjamin, Declan and Alice O’Shea, Conor and Matthew Suarez and Katherine and Leo Kaplan; dear sister of Jim (Donna) Grady, Anne (Paul) O’Malley, Mollie (Michael) O’Leary and Tricia (Tim) Elms. Our beautiful Mom, Kathy O’Shea passed away on April 23 from complications of metastatic breast cancer. Her horrible illness has had the positive effect of bringing our family and friends closer together than ever before. Mary Catherine Bridget Grady O’Shea made our home a great place to grow up, a great place to live. She created a safe and welcoming place for all of our friends and family. She died with the comfort of knowing that she was loved, that her life’s work was meaningful and appreciated, and that her children are strong, successful, and independent, which will be her legacy in life. She spent her last days at home, surrounded by music and the people she loved. Her strength and dignity were a model for all of us.  Visitation Saturday, May 1, 2021, from 9:00 a.m. until time of funeral service 12:30 p.m. at Gibbons Funeral Home, 134 South York Road, (½ mile North of Saint Charles Road), Elmhurst.
