Always loved Ida’s smile when she would see you. It made you feel special. She was a very talented lady who shared God’s gift to everyone.
    Rest In Peace Ida.

What a sweet lady. Knowing her and Terry, it was easy to see why their children are so nice. We will keep her and her family in our prayers.

It was a pleasure to know and make music with Ida at St. John the Baptist in Winfield. She was so versatile, knowledgeable and talented. She also had a heart of gold. She spoke of her deep love of faith and family often. She made everyone feel special. I don’t think Ida is resting in Heaven, I think she is leading an angel choir and loving it! My condolences to Ida’s entire family.

Dear Ida’s family – I am former classmate of Ida from St. Gertrude’s and Leyden High School. After graduation we drifted apart and then many years later we began having brunch with other classmates. There were seven of us. (We are down to three). We so enjoyed those brunches and catching up with each other and talking about the past. Ida was such a caring, talented. lovely lady. You have my deepest sympathy. But I bet Ida is playing her harp with all the angels now. Love to all of you. Carole Netzel Konetzki

I am so very sorry for your loss. I have many good memories of Ida. Back in 2000, when my mother was in Elmhurst hospital, she and I got to hear Ida play the harp. My mother so enjoyed it and this brought her great peace. Afterward Ida and I shared lunch in the hospital cafeteria. She was a kind and gracious woman.

I have very fond memories of being at the Gannon house as a child and hearing any number of instruments being played by Ida. It makes me smile just thinking of it. I will always remember her pleasant demeanor and how she always made me feel welcomed. My thoughts and prayers are with the whole family, she was a special lady.

I remember playing with Ida in the Senior Suburban Orchestra. She was a very nice person and an amazing harp player. We sometimes played at schools, and the kids would often write to us to tell what was their favorite part of the concert. Her harp playing always topped the list. We all miss her.
