Jacobsen, age 93, longtime resident of Elmhurst, currently of Minocqua, WI; Navy Veteran of WWII; former Assistant Superintendent City of Elmhurst Forestry Department;; dedicated botanist and arborist; member American Legion Post #89, Minocqua; beloved husband of the late Marion, nee Fletcher; loving father of Nancy (Jay) Moots, Jeanne (Ray) Dlouhy and James Jacobsen; proud grandfather of Jennifer, Andrew, Erika, Mathew and Ryan and great-grandfather of J.J., Meara, Andrew Jr. and Paige; dear brother of the late Audrey (the late Jack) Cappeck. Visitation Wednesday, November 4, 2020, 10:00 a.m. until time of funeral service 12:00 noon at Gibbons Funeral Home, 134 South York Road, (½ mile North of Saint Charles Road), Elmhurst. Interment Queen of Heaven Catholic Cemetery, Hillside.
