Kathryn L. Pastorelle

Kathryn L. Pastorelle, nee Elliott, Age 86; resident of Homewood, formerly of Glenwood; beloved wife of the late Francis X. Pastorelle; devoted mother of Mary K. (Michael) Gogoel, Ann M. (Gary) Del Fiacco, Michael F. (Tonja) Pastorelle, Daniel P. Pastorelle, and Thomas J. Pastorelle; cherished grandmother of Katie, Patrick, Christopher, William, Matthew, Michele, Dominic, and Frankie; doting great-grandmother to Michael, Genevieve, John, Mason and Isabelle; loving daughter of the late Clarence M. and the late Harriett E. Elliott; dear sister of the late Thomas C. (Carol) Elliott; proud aunt of many wonderful nieces and nephews. Kathryn was born in the Roseland neighborhood of Chicago, graduated from Mercy High School in 1951 and Lewis College (now Lewis University) in 1955 with a degree in chemistry. She was one of the first three freshmen co-eds at Lewis. Married November 3, 1956 at St. John de la Salle Catholic Church to Frank, a man she loved and who made her laugh. Kathryn took great pride in her children and in her commitment to the Catholic faith. She enjoyed old movies, bridge club, and various women’s groups like the Glenwood Lady Lionesses and being on the Glenwood Beautification committee. She filled her home and the world with love and kindness. She will be greatly missed. Funeral Services and Interment at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery will be private.
