John P. “Jack” Walsh

John P. “Jack” Walsh, age 84, late of Northlake, formerly of Glen Ellyn, beloved son of the late John J. and late Margaret (nee O’Connell) Walsh; loving father of Mark and the late Greg; dear brother of the late Patricia Anne (the late Tom) Marren; fond cousin and uncle to many. Jack grew up in the old Resurrection Parish in Chicago and graduated from St. Ignatius College Prep High School, Class of 1952, and went on to graduate from Chicago Teachers College. Jack’s career began in education and later shifted to printing and advertising sales. He loved the Chicago White Sox and rejoiced in their 2005 World Series victory. He especially loved socializing and golf, including his many years playing at the Village Links of Glen Ellyn. Family and friends will meet Thursday, August 22, 2019, 10:00 a.m. until time of Mass of Christian Burial 11:00 a.m at Visitation Catholic Church, 779 S. York St., (at Madison) Elmhurst.
