Jeff C. Cole

Jeff C. Cole, age 56, passed away peacefully, at Elmhurst Memorial Hospital surrounded by loved ones. He was raised in Oak Park, by Robert and Ione, nee Rominger, Cole. He married Joy on May 17, 1987. He was a 1996 graduate of Elmhurst College. He worked as an AVP of business systems with MB Financial. He truly loved his work and took great pride in all his projects. And he was not above playing the occasional practical joke on his colleagues. Jeff truly lived life to the fullest: traveling, spending time with friends, watching movies, and especially eating. He loved eating so much that he created the “Eating Elmhurst” blog. Jeff had an uncanny ability to reach people in a deep and positive way. He is survived by his wife, Joy, nee Rasmussen, of 32 years; son, Joshua (Melissa) Cole; brothers, Doug (Teresa) Cole and Carl Cole; sisters Nancy McLeod, Jo (Mike Dornacher) Krafft, Karen (Jim) Walgrave, and Nicki (Dave Stelzner) Krafft; and many nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents; his step-father Albert Krafft; and his brother Don (Maddie) Cole. Visitation Monday, May 13, 2019, 3:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and Tuesday, May 14, 2019, 1:00 p.m. until time of funeral service 2:00 p.m. at Gibbons Funeral Home, 134 South York Road, (½ mile North of Saint Charles Road), Elmhurst.
