John W. McConachie

John W. McConachie, age 97, passed away peacefully at home, beloved husband of the late Shirley, for over 62 years; loving father of John Jr (Christine), James (Judi), Paulette (Tim) Moen and Robert (Pamela) McConachie and the late Kristine (the late Ron) Quisling; proud grandfather of 14 and great-grandfather of 14; cherished son of the late Alexander and the late Elsie McConachie. John served in the Navy during WWII as a Naval pilot. After the war, he married Shirley Dewar in 1945. He restarted his career in construction which became a lifelong profession. John loved spending time with his family and that was always his focus. John had an entrepreneurial spirit. He owned several construction companies, wrote poetry, enjoyed reading, art, farming and antique cars. Funeral services and Interment Private.
