Irene Rysell

Irene Rysell, nee Garbarski, age 90, longtime former resident of Elmhurst, currently of Watkinsville, GA; Loving wife of the late LeRoy Rysell for over 53 years; cherished mother of Roberta “Bobbi” Brandenburg, (the late Bruce Brandenburg), Ron (Terri) Rysell, and Rich (Sandi) Rysell; adored grandmother of Suzanne (John) Halcomb, Heather (Russ) Weaver, Sarah (Steve Kollar) Rysell, Allison Rysell, Kristin Rysell, Matthew (Krissy) Rysell and Adam (Kim) Rysell; beloved great grandmother to Margaret Anne and Rigby Weaver, Jackson and Julianna Halcomb, and Charlotte Rysell; dear sister of Donald Garbarski; fond aunt of many nieces and nephews. Irene was a graduate of Steinmetz High School and worked in Bensenville, Illinois, for many years, along with being a loving mother and wife. She placed family first, yet found time to spend with friends, and enjoyed good food, Decaf coffee, bus trips, bingo, Rummikub, and a glass of Merlot. She will be greatly missed. Visitation Wednesday, 3:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and Thursday, 8:00 a.m. until time of funeral 9:00 a.m. at Gibbons Funeral Home, 134 South York Road, (1/2 mile North of Saint Charles Road), Elmhurst. Mass of Christian Burial 10:00 a.m. at Saint Charles Borromeo Catholic Church, Bensenville. Interment Ridgewood Cemetery, DesPlaines.
