Emily Kasch

Emily Kasch, age 101, beloved daughter of the late Frederick Moritz Kasch and the late Helen Louise Kasch, nee De Wald and granddaughter of John De Wald, 16 year old Union drummer boy during the Civil War. She is survived by her nieces and nephews, Katherine (Gary)Walter, Helen Jean (Daniel N.) Swinford, Margaret (L.B. Rickards) Kasch, Frederick (Sheila) Cassin, Dennis (Terry) Cassin, David (Kathryn) Tobinson, Ann (Clarence) Sossong and her sister-in-law Teddie Lottig Kasch and her great and great grand nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her two sisters, Margaret Cassin (Kenneth) and Helen-Marie Tobinson (Ray), her brother Dr. Frederick William Kasch, her sister-in-law Katherine (Taffy) McLaren Kasch and her nephew Lt. Frederick (Freddie) Morrison Kasch USN. She was a former member of Faith Presbyterian Church in the Austin neighborhood of Chicago and is a member of Elmhurst Presbyterian Church. She was a member of the Monday Book Club of Elmhurst, United Federation of Doll Clubs, National Institute of American Doll Artists, and the National Association of Miniature Enthusiasts. Visitation Saturday, November 5, 2016, 12:00 noon until time of funeral service 1:00 p.m. at Gibbons Funeral Home, 134 South York Road, (½ mile North of Saint Charles Road, Elmhurst.
