Mark L. Kearney

Mark L. Kearney, age 56, of Villa Park, employee at First Student Bus Service; beloved brother of Kevin (Eileen), Scott (Sue), Tim (William Friel) and Peter (Colleen); loving uncle of Kimberli, Alyssa, Christina, Robin, Caitlyn, Patrick, Matthew, Christopher and Shannon; cherished son of the late Kevin J. and the late Jeanne, nee Lyon. Visitation Monday, 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Gibbons Funeral Home, 134 South York Road, (½ mile North of Saint Charles Road), Elmhurst. Friends and family will meet for a Mass of Christian Burial Tuesday, 10:00 a.m. at Mary Queen of Heaven Catholic Church, 426 North West Avenue, Elmhurst. Interment Bronswood Cemetery, Oak Brook.     I am so sorry to hear about Mark’s passing. He was a cousin of mine. My mom, Elaine Carmody, was Aunt Ruth Lyons sister. Jeanne Kearney was our first cousin and that would make Mark my second cousin. We lived in Elmhurst and also went to Mary Queen of Heaven School. We lived on Highview avenue,2 blocks from where the boys grew up. My name is Joan Carmody Micklitsch and I used to babysit for all of the Kearney boys when they were little. I am 12 years older than Mark. My condolences to the entire Kearney family and I pray that God gives you all strength to get through this difficult time.
