Joan E. Luby, nee Anderson, age 81, former employee of Equitable Insurance, Chicago and Wolf & Company, Oak Brook; beloved wife of the late William F.; loving mother of William, Jr. and Martin (Gina) Luby; proud grandmother of Marti, Josiah, Nora, Timothy and Margaret; dear sister of George Anderson and the late Dolores Anderson, Rita Gaynor and Mary Anderson; fond aunt of many nieces and nephews. Visitation Thursday, 8:45 a.m. until time of funeral 10:00 a.m. at Gibbons Funeral Home, 134 South York Road, (½ mile North of Saint Charles Road), Elmhurst. Mass of Christian Burial 10:45 a.m. at Visitation Catholic Church. Interment Queen of Heaven Catholic Cemetery, Hillside.     You all have our deepest sympathy and prayers. We shared many good times with you all. Joan was the one who taught me how to make real Italian Lasagna /She made the best. Her lasagna recipe will be passed on in the family for generations to come. God Bless You All. Now Joan and Bill are together again, watching over you all.

    Bill and family, All of you guys have been lifetime friends since I was a kid. I am very sorry for your loss. I remember your mom and dad coming down to our farm to look at the goats, your dad taking us fishing up by Cold Springs, and your mom’s home made pizza. I share your loss my friend, your mom and dad were always 2 people I looked up too my whole life. If there is anything Tammy, Spencer, Sheridan or myself can do, please call us.
    I often reminisce those summer days coming up to your farm and your mom and dad would be in lawn chairs under the pine trees sharing a beer and telling us stories I will always remember. I always thought of you, Marty and Bill and Joan as part of our family.
    Our thoughts are with you always.
