Anthony J. Barone, age 85, Army Veteran Korean War; member American Legion, Post #187; beloved husband of Margaret “Marge”, nee Sustersic; loving brother of the late Theresa Infelise, Anne Snyder and Louis Barone; cherished uncle of 12, great-uncle of 20, great-great-uncle of 10 and great-great-great uncle of 2.  Visitation Tuesday, 3:00 pm.. until 8:00 p.m. and Wednesday, 8:15 a..m. until time of funeral 9:15 a.m. at Gibbons Funeral Home, 134 South York Road (½ mile North of Saint Charles Road), Elmhurst.  Mass of Christian Burial 10:00 a.m. at Mary Queen of Heaven Catholic Church.  Interment Private.  For funeral information please call 630-832-0018 or www.gibbonsfuneralhome.com

    For many reasons, we have all lost a remarkable man. Although you were 85, this was such a shock and so very unexpected. Wise, honest and fair with a zest for life and a wonderful sense of humor, you had many who loved you and looked up to you. And Aunt Marge could not have had a better husband and caretaker. I will miss you, our conversations, and the way you treated me because that’s the type of man you were. Rest in peace, Uncle Tony. P.S. I hope you have your phone so you could look up my mom on heaven’s internet; she always liked you too. And if you ever get to find my dad, I’m sure you will want to include him in your best friends circle as well. XO
