Karen was an angel with a heart of gold! I worked with Karen for 13 years. She shared her friendship, wisdom and humor with me and many others. I really had fun and enjoyed working with her. It makes me sad that I am not able to share in Karen’s services. I pray for comfort and God’s peace to your family. Karen talked about all of you with so much love! I know you will miss her. I prayed the angels guide her and I pray now they bring you comfort.

I retired in 2012, and went into the office about a year later. Karen was at the desk, came around, called me by name, and gave me a big hug! I am deeply saddened to know that when I go down to the office again, she won’t be there to say hi, and give me a hug! My deepest sympathy to the family.

I have known Karen for many years. I am a flight attendant who worked on special assignment and sat very near to her in the basement at O’Hare. She was so knowledgeable, kind, funny, and just a wonderful person. She asked me about my life and my family every time I saw her. She made ID badges for my daughters when they were younger on bring your daughter to work day so they would feel special. I am on vacation in the Bahamas and sadly will be unable to attend. My sincere condolences to her family. Please know that Karen made a difference in my life, as well as many other of her colleague’s lives. I will miss her terribly.
