Jane “Jean” Corso

Jane “Jean” Corso nee Kennedy age 95 passed away Jan. 25 2016. Survivor of the “blitz” during WW II, brought up in the Market area of Belfast, Ireland and carried her strong Irish Catholic faith to guide her during her lifetime. Jean was an accomplished Irish dancer, was Irish to the back bone and was Matriarch of the Kennedy Clan. Jean was a longtime resident of Villa Park and member of St. Pius X Catholic Church for more than 60 years; Beloved wife of the late Frank Corso, loving mother of Frank Jr. (Kathleen) and Dr. Thomas (Teresa) Corso; proud grandmother of Angela, Anthony (Cara), Dr. Kristina, Frank Robert and Thomas Patrick; great-grandmother of Chloe and Cian; dear sister of the late David ( the late Cecelia) Kennedy, Elizabeth (Samuel) Militello, and Thomas (Gladys) Kennedy and sister in law of the late Zinia (Tony) Dahlia and Josie (Joseph) Traina; fond aunt of Joe (Mary Jane) and Anthony Traina; Antonio (Peggy) Dahlia; Ann Marie (Tim) DeMars; Donna (Howard) Tribble; Patty Ann (Don) Nolte; Sam (Anna) Militello; Tim Militello; John (Kristin) Kennedy; Jim (Michelle) Kennedy; Dori (Mike) Tucker; Sue Gredling; Barb (Bill) Baur; Tom (Pam) Kennedy and Theresa, Patricia, Kathy and Rosemary Scott. Visitation Friday, 3:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and Saturday, 8:00 a.m. until time of funeral 9:00 a.m. at Gibbons Funeral Home, 134 South York Road, (½ mile North of Saint Charles Road), Elmhurst. Mass of Christian Burial 10:00 a.m. at Saint Pius X Catholic Church, Lombard. Interment Mount Carmel Catholic Cemetery, Hillside.
