Dear dear Mrs. McBride! I can’t imagine all the fun in my childhood without you. Thank you! Trips to the east coast and somewhere in Indiana where I met and had to leave my first love, Lester! At the time it was so traumatic! I’ll never forget when Billy folded me up in the hide a bed couch in the basement! Pierre bit my rear end when I fell off Jannie’s bed on to him and I swore to Jannie that I wouldn’t tell so he wouldn’t get in trouble. Never a dull moment! And of course the candle that kept growing every time it was burned. And most of all, after my mom died, the most wonderful baby shower ever! That was so so special and meant soooo much! The list goes on and on. What a kind and loving mother you were! It reflects in your family! I’m grateful that you were part of my life! Here’s to the “Myrtle Street Gang.” Sorry that it now officially has come to an end but what a great ride! I regret I can’t be there to be part of your send off to your well deserved eternal life. Please know you remain in my heart as one of the best I’ve ever known! Rest in peace!

    Love always,

    Patty

Oh Grace, you will be missed! Grace was my 2nd mom and of course, mom to my best & dearest friend Jannie. I almost stayed more weekends at the McBride’s than my own house because we got away with so much more with Grace than my mother (chores, etc). And her laugh! Embedded in all our minds for eternity. I had the pleasure of spending time with her and Bill from 12 yrs old on – sleepovers, traveling, Holidays, dinners and on and on. Traveling for over 3 weeks with them to 13 states….those poor parents….with 3 teenage girls fighting in the back seat. Wonderful people. She is now with the love of her life, Bill, but will stay endless in my mind always with love & beautiful, fond memories. She’s probably up there right now laughing, playing bridge or some other game having a gay ole’ time! Jannie, Nancy, Bill and extended family….prayers and thoughts are with you. Love, Sheila
