I am so sorry for your loss, Gerry and family. Willy was a friend from childhood when I lived in Cicero IL. We lost touch, but I thought of him and the ol’ gang many times. He was a good friend and always helpful. God rest his soul. I will pray for him.

I was saddened to get the news about Bill. Our prayers go out to your entire family. Unfortunately, I am in CA on business and do not return until Sunday. I still mist all the good times that the Griffins and Maddens had growing up and amazes me how much our kids still run into each other socially, especially your girls. Please extend our sympathies to the entire Griffin and Ward family.

We are very sorry for your loss and offer our condolences to the Ward Family.

For several years, Willie coached Football, Basketball, Softball and Track at St Frances of Rome. It is amazing that a young man carving out his own path in life would give so much of himself to us. We are truly thankful for: his dedication and commitment of time; his imparting values (teamwork, effort, respect) in us; and his leadership, discipline and guidance.

In retrospect, we were very fortunate that Willie bridged a gap in our lives. He gave us structure, values, accountability, and direction when we were outside the home and classroom. His influence on us has been lifelong – Willie made us better people!

Thanks Coach from the SFR Class of 1963!

My brother Bill was an exceptional person, good hearted, mentally super sharp, an excellent cook, concerned father and grandfather, willing to help family and friends solve problems, and a first rate lawyer. He will be missed by his family and friends.
