George J. Gardner, age 88, Army Veteran of WWII and Korean War; resident of Lombard; father of Michael (Mary), Mark (Sandy), Maryanne, Patricia (Robert) Slowik and Daniel (Anne); grand-father of Gina (Josh) Wood, Mark Paul and Dylan Gardner, Holly and Thomas Slowik and Aidan and Amelia Gardner; great-grandfather of Lily, Dean and Liam Wood.  Visitation Sunday, 3:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and Monday, 8:00 a.m. until time of funeral 9:00 a.m. at Gibbons Funeral Home, 134 South York Road, (½ mile North of Saint Charles Road), Elmhurst.
