Catherine Irene Sheehan

Catherine Irene Sheehan, age 55, resident of Elmhurst, formerly of Indiana and Florida; passed away after a lengthy battle with cancer; beloved fiancé of Frank Madden; loving daughter of Elizabeth M. and the late Mark J Sheehan, Jr.; dear sister of the late Mark J. Sheehan, III. Cathy will be sorely missed by her future inlaws: Cathy, Dinny, Peggy, Eileen, Mimi, Nancy, Tom, Andrew, Barb, Bridget and Maureen and future mother-in-law Marjane Madden Kottcamp, nephew Michael Sheehan and many other beloved cousins including Heather (Elis) Saman, Sean (Nicole) Coghlan and Tara Coghlan and by Lynn and John Fagan and Robert Miller. Cathy’s life, though cut short was filled with accomplishments. She attended University of Florida and later the Art Institute of Florida. Her work life took her to the Chicago Mercantile Exchange and the Board of Trade with 20 years of experience. Visitation for Cathy will be held Wednesday, 3:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Gibbons funeral Home, 134 South York Road, (½ mile North of Saint Charles Road), Elmhurst. Friends and family will meet Thursday for a Mass of Christian Burial 9:30 a.m. at Visitation Catholic Church, 779 South York Road, (at Madison), Elmhurst. Interment Private. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, P.O.
